We need all the oases we can get in this world. Washington, of all places, should seek to preserve places of peace and beauty. We all need to "stop and smell the roses" (or something with scent) - not more grass and concrete!

This garden is period appropriate and historically significant. Removing it is the horticultural equivalent of taking a turret off the building.
