Save the Smithsonian's Enid Haupt Garden!

Such a peaceful and gorgeous oasis on the Mall. Please keep the garden!

Please save this jewel of a garden and keep separate entrances to neighboring museums! Maintenance of the spaces around and beneath it should be done. However, replacing this garden with a grass-only space that clashes so prominently with the architecture of the surrounding buildings is unnecessary. Having entrances to surrounding facilities be separate allows each museum more space to showcase their offerings to the public at ground level and outdoors. To combine things into a single underground central entrance minimizes visibility and blurs the unique focus of each museum.

The new design is totally boring and depressing and clashes with the castle. The Haupt garden is an oasis in the city.

It is time to leave things on the mall as they are. Do the "upkeep", but STOP all the damn other crap.

Save the beauty of that very special place.

Preservation, preservation, and more preservation! That's what the city needs before gems like the Haupt Garden and other natural and architectural landmarks that underpin the beauty of this city (and country!) are demolished in the name of progress. Surely there are bright engineering minds that can solve the leak problems at a lesser cost (in the full sense of the word) than what is being proposed. Keep the egos out of it!

Save eunit haupt garden

This garden is a spot of beauty and tranquility in our busy city. When I attend all-day Saturday programs in the Ripley Center, I eat lunch in the garden, weather permitting.

I go there all the time. Wonderful garden space. Please keep it.

This beautiful garden should be preserved for all future generations to enjoy. The proposed grass desert replacement is a terrible idea.

Please don't destroy this lovely garden and replace it with just grass. There is grass on The Mall. We want flowers too!
