This place is loved by many people and has had a positive impact on the lives of thousands of los Angeles denizens, and I believe it is both historically and culturally important, and that a place like this should be left as it is so that it may continue the truly life changing work that they do.

No venue deserves to be destroyed, history has happened at each and every venue... bands who are soon to come up with fame and whatnot, have played these venues.... keep their memories alive.

Venues and community art spaces for music and performing arts must exist for the greater good of art and entertainment. Closing down and demolishing the venue known as The Smell is hurting the neighborhood as well as the music community. Without places like this, more people would be on the street uncultured, uneducated, possible troublemakers or distracted by too much television and video games to the point of mindless oblivion.

The Smell reached London, England. A distant inspiration. By far the best space I have ever played. By a million miles.

The Smell is a treasure beyond words, a place for kids to experience art for its truest sake. It's loss would be something which can never be recovered.

We loved playing The Smell in 2015. We tour constantly and can say for sure there are very few all-ages venues that are so well run and such a pillar of a city's music scene, let alone ones running for so long...

One of the most real places left in Los Angeles. Shared so many memories at the smell, don't tear this place down.
