The Smell was one of the first DIY venues I ever attended. I've never been to a venue that compares to the Smell since. The energetic community is so supportive and dedicated. The space is potent with the spirit of the LA music scene. I can't bare to see this place torn down brick by brick!

The smell was a huge part of growing up for me and our community. Not only did it host a safe places for people of all ages and music to enjoy music and art but it also accommodated bands, artist and visitors from all over the world. This venue is a historic place for music and culture of Los Angeles.
