The Smell is an important cultural institution to the community of Los Angeles and to the many artists and performers who visit our city. It provides a dedicated and affordable space for everyone to enrich their lives through supporting art. Losing this venue would mean losing a vital part of L.A.'s cultural identity, and we simply cannot allow this to happen.

We risk losing the very soul and character of our beautiful city in exchange of rapid development for the purpose of profit. LA city residents should have a say.

What conditional uses does the property owner have rights to? There is no public involvement option when a nascent property owner decides to bulldoze a 20-year-running non-profit, non-alcoholic haven for artists in Los Angeles, especially young artists? Stop the destruction, and preserve what makes downtown LA great!
