Many memorable nights @ the Smell. It would be a shame to see it gone. Many bands got their start there. Plus all ages. Not many can pull that off for that long.

The Smell is an historical landmark that has incubated generations of musicians, many of whom have reached international recognition. Operating continuously over a decade, mostly by volunteers, it has offered a safe, affordable space for people of all ages to grow and participate in a respectful, vibrant community. It is crucial that it be preserved as a vital part of Los Angeles's cultural diversity.

This venue is the ONLY place in L.A. that people of any age can witness progressive, inspiring, and hands down original performances from artists from AROUND THE GLOBE. It is truly an international venue though many may not gather it on first visit. Entertainers famous and not so famous have heard or performed here. It should never be destroyed.
