Although I personally have never been, The Smell just seems like an amazing venue. To be honest, I would really love to go some day.

Seeing Guantanamo Baywatch at The Smell is easily one of the best experiences of my life. I was able to bring in a younger friend, and the fact that they were allowed in, and actually met other people and made new friends, made the experience that much more worthwhile. Ive only been here once, but I'll remember it forever, and I want people to be able to have the same experience I did for years to come!!!

This is one of the few ALL AGES VENUES in LA & the ONLY venue in LA that is AFFORDABLE to TEENAGERS of ALL AGES & WALKS of life. This in turn keeps them busy, entertained & gives them something to look forward to after school or on the weekends in a safe, friendly, positive & loving environment. This DIY attitude is a positive example to anyone that walks though those doors on any given night of the week. You can be sure that there are shows or art exhibits everyday of the week. That just doesn't happen around here. The Smell found a way & it would be a real shame if we overlook all the work that has been put into this venue & in turn for the community. Ran by volunteers that care & love what they do I truely believe that this is a blessing in disguise though in a weird & forceful manner. The Smell is deserving & has earned itself a new, more beautiful & more up to standard venue. Let's show 'em how appreciative we all are for all the great memories we've made there & the amazing shows that those walls will forever keep. Much Love, @ajgordonmusic

This kind of place should survive for the sake of helping children to find themselves and their place in life.

I appreciate places like this that really push music, just the fact that the main director does this for no profit is so heartwarming.
