It would be such a shame to force out such a great part of the community. I've never been but so many bands I love wouldn't be where they are without this place.

The Smell is one of the biggest reasons for the Downtown LA revival. It put LA on the international map as an absolute icon of art and expression from the ground up. You might as well knock down City Hall or the Hollywood Sign. It is the true fabric of LA and it's not going anywhere.

The Smell is more than just one of those rare all-ages music venues - it's the starting point from which has emerged so many new and unique forms of expression that reverberate across the globe.
It is the testing ground for so many artists who, without it, might never have been able to break through at all. And it continues to be!
The value this landmark provides to music, to LA, the youth and the world has to be worth much more than just another parking structure.
Please save the Smell and please go there. Go there a lot..

I've seen so many good bands here. It's a great hole in the wall venue that's been around for many years. It would be f**cked up to demolish this place.
