Music and art are the soul of a city. When that is destroyed the city decays.

Too much history in this place so many local musicians call home to just tear it down.

Every great cultural city needs a free form music venue, and Los Angeles is one of the greatest. Losing the Smell is akin to NYC losing CBGB's and manhattan has never been the same. Long live The Smell. Viva La Smell!!!

the smell has had such a large impact on my life I cannot bear the thought of other people not having that opportunity. Please save this cultural landmark so it can continue to have positive impacts on other people's lives.

Downtown Los Angeles is now crowded with new bars. Perhaps we should consider how many venues, etc., offer any other options for young people, other than getting drunk.

There is far too much history in this venue, not to mention this whole block, to justify demolishing it for anything.
