Even though I live in England I can still recognise that the smell is not only an important space for locals but has an impact further afield.

This venue is more than just a place for young kids to play music live. It's a place where they discover who they are, who they will be, a place that has shaped many a person and affected them for all their lives. It's a hotbed of Los Angeles creative culture. Please don't tear down the smell!

this tearing down of older building is just going too far. Some need to stay to preserve the character of the city.

As a music enthusiast I am devastated by the potential loss of this music venue. Additionally, as a master's student in Urban Planning at UCLA - I find it crazy that the proposed replacement is a Parking Lot! This area is one of the most transit accessible areas in LA, and the building itself is flanked by two giant parking lots as it it. Do not build more parking in a dense urban core that needs cultural spaces like The Smell!!!
