A parking garage? A parking garage. Take the rent you accrue and rest easy that the multitude of other buildings you've already levelled will get you by just fine. Are you really hurting for dough to the extent that you'd rob LA's youth of a critical, safe, cheap place to express themselves and create a community of like-minded, passionate people? ...Dumb question.

Spent a lot of time at The Smell when I was in my late teens and it holds a special place in my heart. It's a safe place for kids of all ages to experience community and music in Los Angeles. It has been going strong for 20 years and should remain open for 20 more.

Anything that you replace The Smell with, will be more useless, boring, and inconsequential as that hub of culture and community.

The Smell has given so many people a creative outlet, a place to find themselves, and a start towards their passions. Don't let that die.

The Smell has been a safe place for people (especially kids) to come together and enjoy music for over 15 years. Everyone who volunteers there is so passionate its truely inspiring. They've created a community in LA and helped so many artists start their careers. It would be such a shame to see a great place like this disappear.

I think the smell holds a lot of special memories for people. Its a friendly and fun environment for people to go and listen to great music. It supports and brings up local bands. It is not a parking lot, it's an awesome place for kids of all ages to have fun. It's a safe and healthy place! Keep the smell!
