Was born and raised in Paris. Never thought of the statue as anything of hate. Just reminded me of the people who died in war. Hate is taught, sent down from one generation to the next. It is our job as a parent to make it stop now. Taking down a statue teaches nothing.

Statues doesn’t hurt anyone. It is a symbol of the struggles that this country has gone through, symbolizes hope that all will be well, represents the brave men and women who have their life and fought for this country, and it reminds us that the success that comes from the struggles that we endure.
