If you erase history you erase who you are! We are proud of our ancestors and their beliefs at time and place and that allows us a picture of that time. We were a part of settlement and the westward movement. Without history we will not understand the picture, avoid mistakes, and understand who we all are! It is a crime in my view to distort historical fact!!!

The nation that forgets its past has no anchor.
It is short-sighted to destroy statues honoring heroes. Please keep the Sentinel standing tall. It looks like we are going to need our Forerunners to remind us of what our core values are.

As someone that did not grow or was born in the USA I crave the need to know more of the peoples that stepped on these hallowed grounds. It was the job of past generations to inscribe on the stones of time their history. It is now our turn to save, preserve and continue their past into the future so that our great grandmothers can live on our great grandchildren. A generation without knowledge of the past History is like a Titanic heading into the abyss. My children must know all of their history good or bad. It is up too the individual to choose what to do with it. We must preserve history and monuments here in the USA and world wide.
