I am from Texas and not even sure my signature will count. But we have stood up and all the smaller rural county statues are gonna stay and the Countys have consented that the SCV or UDC are the actual owners of these statues. You should claim your statue even if the county wants to move it. These type Monuments were not bought with tax payers money and don't belong to the county governments.

Its history good or bad and no one that I have heard since I was a child had an issue with it, until now. I hope it stays..

This statue is our history and we cannot allow for history to be erased. If we do, it will repeat itself! We all need daily reminders of how bad life could be. This is one of those reminders.

This represents all who died in the War Between The States. If we irradiated all statues, we will always be condemed to relieve the history for which they stand! If these are removed, ALL roads and ALL statues named for Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, etc need to be removed as well. This has been here for over 100 years. Now its a problem?

I’m originally from Paris. Henry County is the Volunteer County of the Volunteer State. This memorial for those brave volunteers of 1861-1865 should stand forever as a testament to their courage, integrity, and devotion.

Glad to sign it. It's a statue. He represents every soldier of every color that has ever fought for our country. You can't erase history by tearing down statues. Long live Sentinel!!
