At least make the effort to rehome the deer, even if it doesn't work out in the end. Everything possible should be done before even thinking of culling them.

Surely it is not beyond the wit of man to either a) allow the deer to remain between the fences, or b) find somewhere else for them, which Sellafield can surely afford? BNFL fenced the wild deer in; now they are duty bound to take responsibility for their welfare - NOT BY SHOOTING THEM>

The risk assessment and environmental impact assessment carried out prior to this fence was clearly poor otherwise the risk of this situation would have been flagged up and should have been planned to prevent Sellafield Ltd why should the deer pay the price of your incompetence and lack of conservational awareness ? You are a major player in the energy world for you to simply shoot these deer exposes your lack of consideration of this community s concerns
