NO excuse for this rank stupidity and total incompetence! Remove a length of the fence and let the deer escape, then replace it. They could tempt the deer to leave by offering them tasty food so that they pass through the temporary opening.Duh!

This is terrible and should not happen. Humane is not always practical but is the correct way for humans to behave. Of course there is another way to deal with this that allows the animals to live.

Can't bear the way other creatures' lives are so easily disposed of...and yet it is our species that has done and is doing the greatest damage to our planet, our species that has 'herds' that have dangerously overpopulated the earth and raped its resources. These gentle deer can be easily moved, with a little sensitivity, care and time and less propensity to find a "quick, convenient and cheap fix". Would it be equally quick and convenient if you were the one looking down the barrel of a gun about to despatch you, I wonder? Where on earth did we get this arrogant assumption that we are entitled to dispose of the lives of others? Is only human life sacred? I think not.

This is just unbelievably short sighted, that these beautiful cratures should lose their lives due to...fencing, of all things? Are we as a species quite without shame the way anything that gets in our way must be instantly killed? (The word 'cull' is a joke)
