I would ask that you please re think your plans for a cull - there must be other alternatives that would support a more desirable outcome for the fate of these beautiful creatures.

Again a sickening, wrong decision is made just to save a few pounds. If you cull the deer you are going against the wishes of people who live in the area. Don't they count in your decision making?

Scrap 'humane' and leave in practical. Which is what its all about isn't it. I thought Britain was supposed to be a compassionate country. Seems not...at least not under the present government. Shame on you all.

All they have to do is remove the fences and let the deer go.They are at fault for not checking the area before they put the fences up.Why do these Deer have to suffer?They dont.

As with badgers and other species now branded as 'vermin' this problem is man-made; The solution is not extermination of a herd but provision of natural habitat for resident species. The fenses should never have been installed with deer trapped in the area; the herd should have been moved on before the perimeter fencing was installed in the first instance.

I strongly object to the barbaric idea to shoot he deer. Wild life animal aid rescue teams and experts must tranquillize the deer and free them immediately. There is strong public anger and objections to Sellafields inhumane vile move. The problem must be sraightened out and resolved humanely by rescue teams and experts.
