Save the school busses. The proposed changes will be a disaster waiting to happen for our school children and our community.

I am a school student and some of these proposals are absolutely ridiculous! The CBD is not a safe environment for college students let alone having younger kids having to catch connecting buses in the CBD. Children are already exposed to so much at a young age and they really don't need to be in town every day where they will be scared . The buses are always late anyway so making buses run more regularly will just make the buses meet the old schedule. I believe that they should put a bus from Welcome Bay directly to the Mount. Many students who attend Mount college live in Welcome Bay and before and after school Mount college students fill up around one whole bus. So adding on other public members that want to go to the mount with a more direct service will definitely be enough to fill up a whole bus. If these proposals are to go ahead we need to make areas like the CBD safer and actually make services better so that many people can have more effective service around Tauranga.

You should put safety before costs. You cannot possibly have enough service buses available to cover the 11 buses you are cutting just from 1 school, with all the students out at the same time, it will be a logistical nightmare and someone is bound to get hurt in the scramble where everyone tries to get on the first available bus. Think safety not cost, put our children first!

No cost savings should be at our kids expense. Our children should be entitled to a safe quick trip to and from school each day. We will be forced to drive our kids to school if these changes go ahead.

Childens should be dropped off at the school gate. In Auckland where children have to walk a distance to school abductions are on the increase. There was one attempted one yesterday after a chikd got off the public bus Think of the kids

I don't see any positives to the proposed changes. Students should be able to get to school safely and on time , with connecting buses I can't see that happening, it just adds another thing for the kids to deal with in their morning

Keep the school buses! The proposed ideas for changing the current school bus system is absolutely ridiculous and I 100% do not support it. As parents we need to feel that our children are getting to and from school as safe as possible and these changes do not support that.

Proposed bus drop off on busy Maunganui road is unacceptable. Bus could easily enter the school bus bay and then cross the road and continue to Mt. Not pleased about the need to change bus at bay fair. Congestion, student safety/truancy,

most of my school catch these buses. Killing them off would be a huge hassle for parents, students and teachers! If the safety of the kids was a priority then the buses would stay running
