This is one of the most amazing trees i have ever seen! It is truly an attraction at San Pedro House! What a shame if you cut it. Please protect it amd allow nature to take its' course!

I would prefer that both trees be pruned and the larger, western tree be left fenced to protect the public and allowed to die naturally. I understand there is probably a healthy fear of liability here on the part of the BLM but cutting the tree down is rather drastic and is more for their own convenience than the interests of the community.

My family and I have been enjoying the San Pedro House and surrounding areas for over twenty years. The magnificent Cottonwood tree should be allowed to die naturally but fenced off so the public is safe from any harm. We love the San Pedro and cherish the fact that it has been left in its natural state. Please do not cut down the precious Cottonwood tree. Thank you, Denise Byrnes

Please allow the older cottowod to die naturally within a fenced perimeter that will protect the public from any falling limbs. These trees provide habitat for inumerable creatures native to the San Pedro River area.

These old trees provide important bird habitat. Please make or keep the areas immediately around them safe, & prune only as much as is necessary to keep the area safe, & let them die naturally.

In almost 9 months as site host I seen more branches down from trees along river then the 2 cottonwoods at the house

My wife and I have visited San Pedro many times over many years for birding and related activities. The target tree is a landmark, as well as an important contributor to the site's value as habitat. Removal should not be an option. Creating a permanent fence must be considered and designated the preferred alternative.
