The tree is amazing. The BLM is supposed to PROTECT resources and land for people to enjoy OUR public lands. Maybe we should hire new managers of our public lands. They are public servants and work for us.

This tree exudes the energies of the local nature deva and spirits. It also is their home. Although these spirits are not seen with the eyes, it is felt within the soul and is what "draws" people to the area. Its healing energies are felt by all. Removing it without permission by the local nature spirits may cause them to retaliate and create trouble for the area. Please rethink and find a solution that benefits all. And if it does need to be removed it would be helpful to contact a local shaman to help the unseen spirits that tend and live in the tree to pass along peacefully. Thank you.

If this were a human constructed building of the same age , it would be preserved and protected. This tree is even more magnificent. Do NOT Destroy it.

The tree has been around longer than any living humans. It grows without knowing the folks who it may endanger. The safety issue spoken of as a reason for its destruction is lame. Let the tree live and cordon it off to people.

What possible reason is there to cut down this stately old tree...it brings everyone great happiness and is home to many of our feathered friends. Why does the government always have to kill something it doesn't want to have to spend a little money on! Leave the tree alone and make the fencing permanent!

Trimming for safety is a reasonable course of action. Chopping it down would be terrible.

This tree has been there for a very long time and took a very long time to get that big! Why in the world would anyone want to cut something as magnificent as this beautiful tree?? I don't understand! This is why we can't have nice things and frankly, I'm getting tired of it! LEAVE THE TREE ALONE!!
