I feel by closing the facility would be a detrimental effect for the children and for the adults that utilize it. It serves as an establishment so young adults can further their education as well as an establishment for the workers at RVCC who want to educate these young adults. For the children, it provides care and education. Win/Win

Such a shame when there is such a lack of affordable quality child care in our communities to see an entity closing this valuable resource. I respectfully request the college reconsider this decision and continue to provide this program to the residents of the county, the students and the faculty of the college.

Our son Eddie has shown so much progress at the Children's Campus, and it would be very disruptive for him to have to start over elsewhere. As we can now see the return to a more normal life, and when RVCC returns to all in person instruction, there will be a very high demand for the Children's Campus. Please keep this essential service operating!

The RVCC Children's Campus is more than just a daycare center. It was an invaluable opportunity for my twins to nurture and grow in a safe environment that stressed community, education, and friendship. I have countless photos of my children not only learning the fundamentals but engaging with staff and other children, exploring nature, art and science, and building relationships that have lasted long after they left. The college is there to serve the community, and the Children's Campus serves the future teachers, doctors, scientists, writers, artists and all other workers of that community. Do not make the mistake of closing the Children's Campus' doors and eliminating the opportunity my children had from other families.

Both of my children were raised at the RVCC Child Care, they attended full time from 3 months old until they entered Kindergarten. The staff is amazing and I don’t know what we would have done for those 8 years without them. As a parent I could not have asked for a better environment for my children. As a RVCC member, I see, every day the impact the child care center has on our students. It gives them an opportunity to be successful knowing their children are safe and being cared for by the best.

The RVCC Children's Campus has been a vital part of the community for parents both on & off campus for years. The closing of the center will be a loss to the communities.

Not only is this the BEST child care center in the area, it is the best training ground for teachers. Instead of closing you need to work on positioning the center in a way that will be more profitable and bring the recognition and attention to the staff. This is a solid organization and if you shut it down it will not only be damaging to the students and staff, but the college as well.
