Keep the core of Soldier's Field without asphalt. As much money as our city (we taxpayers) spends on DMC projects, we can put some of those resources into a permeable material for the track to keep it both user and environmentally friendly.

As a regular track user, I find it deplorable and very unsafe to allow a sports ground turned into a carpark, apart that it contributes to further deterioration as the track was not desinged for cars. Such full size tracks are bery few and far in between, hence this decisiom deprives hundreds of people proper and safe access.

The problem has to be tackled at the root. When I was a university student we regularly used public transport and carpooled. Have students today become too spoilt to leave the comfort of their vehicle? The reality is that there are simply too many cars, and other solutions must be found. The University, of all institutions, should be at the forefront to tackle the local parking problem in innovative ways, and more importantly to address the alarming global warming phenomenon which requires deep changes in how we consume fossil fuels at an individual and national level. To say nothing about how this decision exposes oir country's lack of awareness and respect towards sports and the people who practice it.

This is the most unsafe and inconsiderate way of tackling the parking issue.
The university could offer free public transport or shuttle services instead.

This is ridiculous! We want people to run and then remove one of the most used running tracks?

Shouldnt the authorities be promoting sports and recreational spots .. the environment is totally ruined with buildings and cars ... Any idea of professional town planning in this country ...
Fix the public transport, make it efficient, rather than turning public spots into car parks !!
