How can developers continue to be allowed to destroy the soul of our city? These older apartments are often the only affordable housing left in Seattle. New housing is never as affordable. Please preserve our history and affordable housing.

Save these beautiful apartments. Seattle does not need Micro Units. We need to save our history. I have friends who live here and it breaks my heart as a life-long Seattle resident.

There are so few buildings that have the space for families of more than two to live. This is one of them. To loose such a beautiful building and its open plan would be a tremendous loss to the city and the neighborhood.

Do not destroy or re-do the RoyVue. I support making it an historic landmark, but that shouldn't have to happen in order to preserve it.

I understand that the city needs more housing, and to that end I support raising the building heights on main arterials like Broadway, 12th Ave, etc. But this growth should be done smartly and not at the expensive of the limited remaining and historical character buildings like the RoyVue.

Stop destroying Seattle history!! This building is important in so many ways. This trash building needs to stop. Our environment is being destroyed by builders that have no ties to the Seattle area. These people should be run out of town. Do not murder this iconic building.

I believe a significant source of stress in our community is that we are losing our traditions and connections with the past. It causes us to lose sense of stability, self, and life meaning. When you take a pearl of the community like the Roy Vue and strip it for the benefit of developer profit (using housing as lip-service), you destroy the community we have shared for decades.

I do agree that we need more housing in this area. However, we shouldn't be encouraging microunits. There are two empty lots right around this area. Why not build there?

Once a beautiful old interior is destroyed, it can’t be replaced. There are thousands of new apartments in Seattle, and very few classic ones. Please protect the unique and lovely building.
