Too many of our historical areas are being distoryed for profit rather than preserved to maintain an income to support it

I’m so tired of all these greedy outsider developers that are ruining our city with their ugly multi unit buildings. Charging hundreds of dollars for tiny spaces and gentrifying the neighborhood. It’s time the city takes action, stop the greed and protect its citizens.!!!

I understand the need to create additional housing, but this plan has too many flaws. Turning larger rooms into micro rooms, while also removing the courtyard, just to get ~100 additional units that can only hold a person? Seems silly. Come up with more substantial way to improve the city, this just appears to be a lazy cash grab.

This is such a shame. I had the amazing experience of living in this building in 2010 before moving away from Seattle. Please let it live on, not only in our memories!

This is a landmark architecture. The interior spaces are inseparable from the exterior. Yes we need more housing BUT destroying landmark buildings is NOT the way to go!

If you think destroying a historic building is progress, you'd be wrong.

As a former Royvue resident and current Capitol Hill resident, the idea of this renovation breaks my heart. Please leave this beautiful building alone.

RoyView is an irreplaceable asset to the neighborhood. My friend lives there, it is a delightful building to visit and I am happy knowing she lives in such a lovely place. This is not a building and garden that should be sterilized and maximized, leave it as it is.

This is a character building that should be protected. Despite how Seattle seems to feel about "buildings" - that actually means saving not just the facade. With regard to housing: we need more housing for older non-tech adults, not just cribs for kids to live in for a year.

Please do not allow this historical beauty in amazing conditions to be destroyed for the sake of Money. It is not necessary, whoever new machine worker comes to Nwe Seattle, can perfectly rent an apartment there as is, and the owember can ask whatever amount for rent will desire, The newbie can still have the chance to say I live on "Cap Hill" for the commute to amazon. Thank you beyond sarcasm and anger, I want this building in my neighborhood as it. We cannot allow this destruction's anymore, we have already lost too much. Thank you
