MY Brother lives next door and owns no operates the community hub restaurant of Harrys Fine Foods. I have gotten to know the warm and connected community of the neighborhood through my time in the restaurant. A common topic of discussion is how rare communal gathering places are and how important cultural landmarks be preserved in the age of the amazon and Seattle boom. Please help the Roy vue stand the test of time and we will all be better for it

Seattle lacks meaningful, historical architecture. Why destroy one of the sole buildings that actually contains and speaks off Seattle's history? Why change one building that has defined Seattle and Capitol Hill's identity? The voice of current tenants matter. Not that one of developers. This type of development needs to stop in Seattle before we are faced with an entire different, new city that fails to recognize its past, its history and the voices of its current residents. Save Seattle from committing one huge mistake by destroying its identity, turning itself against its own architectural past, its history and its current residents. #SaveTheRoyVue

Seattle needs more affordable and average priced housing for people on regular non-tech salaries. Micro-units at an estimated $1100 for 180 sq ft is the exact opposite of that.

This building needs to be preserved to protect the history and character of the built environment of our city. Not many of these left. It would be a shame to let developers push their way through this one.

Developers need to be as respectful to the neighborhoods they are developing within, as those neighborhoods are the value to their projects. Every effort to maintain the exterior and grounds as originally intended should be made.

The Roy Vue represents an important part of early 20th Century living in Seattle. Saving only the facade ignores the importance of a lifestyle reflected in these apartments. I have lived within a block of this building since 1979 and resent the disregard of the developers who give lip service to preservation by their proposal to destroy this significant structure.

Please for the love of god do not take away what is left of historic Seattle! We already lost a ton of historical sites due to Amazon killing everything and driving up rent and the cost of living here! This city has a history and if you get rid of it there won't be anything to look at but the same old cookie cutter architectures.
DO NOT TAKE THIS AWAY FROM SEATTLE'S HISTORIC BEAUTY AND BUILKDINGS! WE NEED TO PRESERVE THE HISTORY AND ITS STRUCTURES!

Seattle is losing it's beauty. We have lost our music venues, and artistic images due to the growth of Amazon. We dont need more stone, but we need nature in Seattle still. It's already depressing enough.

Please keep this beautiful building - one of the only ones left on the hill that can house a family in each unit for an affordable price - in its current zoned position. While additional housing is needed, family housing is also desperately necessary.
