Enough is enough with destroying beautiful spaces in Seattle only to replace them with overpriced housing that only tech and 6 figure salaried employees can afford.

This building is worth more than money. It creates community and connection to beauty, history, and place. Think again. Save this for our community.

So little left of old Seattle. Dividing this will not creatmore homes for people only divide them more as neighbors. Shame on the greed

The city of Seattle is letting development ruin the character of all of its neighborhoods, putting business and density over the quality of life , affordability and character of the city, shame on them.

The character of Capitol Hill requires the preservation of stellar examples of the nature of life in prior years - apartments of elegance, with the communities that form within those structures. The Roy Vue should be preserved as it is.

Please consider the importance of this historical landmark and the amazing community this will be affecting.

Do you want Seattle to BE Amazon? That would be self-destruction.

The Roy Vue was originally built to alleviate urban crowding with a floor plan that encourages air flow, a courtyard garden that promotes health and community, and a gracious design that lets multigenerational families find comfort and peace at home. That makes the proposed demolition--and the build out of 147 exorbitantly expensive microunits--even more horrifying.

I have friends who call the Roy Vue home. I believe it is one of (if not the most) impressive buildings in Capitol Hill. It would be a real shame for it to be gutted and converted into ridiculously overpriced micro-units. I am also a resident of Capitol Hill, and if the developers get away with this, it will cause irreversible harm to the neighboring rental market. I stand with the Roy Vue residents.

i lived in this beautiful place for three years loved every day. Many relaxing courtyard drinks and meals. friends and family loved the building. would be a tragedy to see this ruined.

Cmon Seattle. Progressive doesn't have to mean cheap and new. Work with what you have. Restore. Keep at least a fraction of aesthetic.

Please keep the little history that we have left in Seattle alive!!

The neighborhood can’t support that many units not to mention destroying a last of its kind landmark is just greed

Tenants shouldn't be displaced just so a few rich people can get richer by cramming people into smaller more expensive boxes.

Please don’t turn the Roy Vue into unaffordable Apartments.

This will do nothing to create long-term affordability and is just a developer's dream. Preserve this beautiful building which has been a home for so many.
