It would be an absolute travesty to demolish such a fabulous building. If we are not careful all our Glossop heritage will be loss and it will become just another concrete jungle.

Glossop is rapidly becoming overpopulated with houses and little else. Our heritage buildings are being left derelict or demolished because the owners won't spend enough money on maintaining or preserving them. There is little forethought for the community who have to live in these towns, which have limited facilities to cater for the ever growing population. If the Borough Council have to meet demand for new build then they have an obligation to invest in the community and improve the infrastructure and the facilities to cater for the needs of those who elect to live here. They also have to ensure that the few historical buildings that are left are preserved and cherished.

This is a fantastic historic pub, that deserves the chance to stay as a pub, Glossop is slowly being turned into a mini Ashton, there is hardly any of the rural town beauty that people want to come to experience
