Definitely a Glossop historic building that should be preserved rather than another bunch of overpriced, thrown together, characterless new builds.

Scandalous to even think of demolishing such a lovely old building to throw up 6 shoebox new builds.

As you enter Glossop from Snake Pass this wonderful pub is a landmark. Also, it is the only pub this side of town, a vital local amenity. It is also providing employment.

This is yet another example of history and community being walked on by corporate greed. Please agree to sell to the current occupiers for a fair price. We don’t need more new builds in Glossop, we need to protect our heritage.

Stop the destruction of these historic buildings and green spaces. We can never get them back. The government’s current plan regarding housing is untenable and should be reviewed.

Was permission given to chop down the trees at the side of the pub! The Royal Oak is part of Glossop history, and do we really need anymore houses in our town.
