The Oak is a treasured public house well attended during normal times which will resume. The food is renowned as one of the best eateries in Glossop. Lots of motorcyclists and cyclists stop at The Oak during their Snake Pass journeys. The lovely building has been in the Town for a long time and it has beautiful outside enclosed facilities. There is never any trouble at The Oak. Most importantly Glossop cannot cope with further new housing. Why the planners have approved so many already is not understood by the residents who suffer on a daily basis with traffic issues. The bypass won’t reduce the traffic and associated fumes, it will just move slightly faster and bottleneck further towards the M67. The infrastructure can’t take anymore. Please give the residents of this lovely Town a break and not just a few new home owners lining the pockets of the builders

When will the constant building of new houses end. The infrastructure just is not able to cope. It’s outrageous that even our heritage isn’t safe!

Another development set to make Glossop another faceless town without its historic character.

This is an historical part of Glossop and demolition would be an act of vandalism

Don’t lose more history we don’t need more houses but we do need places for the community to meet up

The biggest shame is that that current tenants have offered a fair price , which retains it as a local business and historic building. If planning is denied , surely that’s an attractive proposition

We need to preserve our historic buildings to keep Glossop appealing for tourists and the residents. We don't need more houses as we don't have the infrastructure to support more.

No more houses needed. Infrastructure is needed!

I don't see why they can't build around it. Surely the new housing estate would appreciate a local pub. Besides that, we should be preserving our historical buildings, not demolishing them.

Shame this many people don't go in there regularly to give them the support.
