This pub has to be saved!! It should be a listed building. Chris and Betty are wonderful and should not lose their home and business to greedy people

Greed always destroys a town and its future.
The money will be gone along with the good character of Glossop.
Mark the deeds "Heritage building" to be preserved in perpetuity.
Older than Canada for crissakes

To destroy a piece of history, something that has survived the test of time and contributes to Glossop's landscape and culture, just to build an ugly block of flats unnecessarily, would be a crime. Glossop is a nice little village, not a corner of a city.

Everyone in the area wants the Royal Oak to remain as a pub and Thai restaurant. It would be awful if this well-loved building was to be demolished for yet more boring new houses, of which there are far too many in Glossop.

Please please don't demolish this beautiful building with such a rich history. The last homely house before venturing onto the epic Snake Pass. The first welcome to historic Glossop from the high moors to the east. Don't rape our historic town for profit.

I urge all you people who have signed this petition to read the planning application:kirtleway letter.. If the landlord was to sell 2x11 barrels of beer, around 176 pints a week as he stated in the leaving notice,.that would be 0.352 pints for each of you..You OBVIOUSLY support this pub.!!

This is a wonderful local pub and restaurant. The last thing Glossop needs is more overpriced housing.

To say the pub should be demolished due to its state is purely down to the owners neglect in the first place. Together with financially crippling the landlord to force him out is a deliberate attempt to force the demolishment of the property.
This is a Pub that should be sold to the landlord who have treating the locals and people from afar with amazing Thai food.
This utter discontent for the locals by the owners will have repercussions for trade on their other sites.

The Royal Oak is run by the most wonderful, genuine people. They need to stay where they are so we can continue to enjoy the fantastic food and amazing company they provide to the local community. Save the Royal Oak.
