I can't imagine not seeing the headframe on the horizon - it's an important landmark for boaters, snowmobilers, skiers, pilots etc on Great Slave Lake

This is a valuable landmark for those who boat, hike, and fly. I get a feeling of "there's home" when I see it in the distance. Please, don't take this away from us as it is so unique to our Capital.

I think it should be preserved! It is really the only standing piece of genuine history left in the city that is not falling down or beyond repair. . With a bit of planning it would be a great asset to tourism. It could stand as a memorial to all the people who earned a income in gold mining. It could be a museum a restaurant. There are many, many things that could be done with it to attract tourists and to simply preserve the history of the city for generations to come. Not to mention it is used by boaters and pilots as a navigational land mark.

The Robertson Headframe is a symbol of Yellowknife's past that needs to be preserved, particularly as it serves as such a useful and unique landmark. The current political sway in the NWT is to wipe any evidence of mining off the face of the northern landscape. Within the City, I'd rather have the headframe than all the boulders that have been methodically spewed around town under the guise of "landscaping".

Yellowknife was founded because of mining. It is a shame that our museum no longer has the mining display, so please please preserve this piece of our mining history. Also, it helps me find my way home when I get my directions mixed up which happens more and more as I age!

Every time I would come back or leave my hometown of Yellowknife, I would look for this tower and would be overjoyed because I know that I'm home.

It's a beautiful peace of history still standing In Yk where many people use it for navigational routes on the water or in the air. It been there since I can remember and I am 33 years old now and I think it belongs to be part of yk for ever.

My late husband worked at Con Mine 1973 to 2003, we lived at Con Mine 1975 -1985; I am in favor of saving the headframe.

The history of Yellowknife and the NWT needs to be saved to give an indication of how Yellowknife was started and developed. The Robertson Headframe may the last headframe in Yellowknife to indicate the mining history of Yellowknife and the talest structure in the NWT.
