2 of my brother-inlaws plus my husband and 2 of his nephews all worked at Con. To see the that landmark torn down would not make coming |home" the same for true Northerners.

The Robertson Head Frame has been our beacon for many years whether we are traveling by boat or snowmobile. Coming through the inside channel is is awesome to see the RHF as you know then you are close to home. Save it for ever

Why take away everything that made YK home?

It would be a terrible shame to lose this historical/geographical landmark. I grew up in the Con Mine area of town and was extremely sad to lose the Con headframe. Let's save Robertson!

This is one of the iconic pieces that defines Yellowknife. The picture of the headframe has been used in my university classes when we discuss about Yellowknife and NWT

This headframe has saved by butt more than once while out snowmobiling on GSL. There is a ton of potential for this structure if a joint venture could be had!

They should put a light beacon at the top. Everyone uses it as a landmark to get home year round.

I enjoyed seeing it when I visited Yellowknife last summer - an important part of the heritage of YK.
