People are kicking themselves now for flodding the shaft and destroying millions in equipment, with gold so high. Now some want to continue the destruction. The logic defies me.

We should be embrasing our visual history and leaving it in place for current and future generations. If not for our mining history, Yellowknife would not exist. Our Mining Heritage has put Yellowknife on the world map.

This is definitely a YK landmark and should become an historical building! I was born and raised here; as were my kids. It just wouldn't be the same if it weren't there. Whenever I am away and then return, once I see the headframe, I know that I am home!

This icon of the industry that provided 3 generations of Yellowknifers with their livelyhood should be saved. The City's report indicates that the cost is reasonable and industrious residents will find a use for it.

It would be a shame to tear down such an important part of our history. The head frame is named after my Uncle Bob Robertson who dedicated his working life to mining in Yellowknife. So it has special meaning for the Robertson clan.

Such an integral part of the Yellowknife skyline. I remember being out on a boat and realizing how far away you can see it to guide you back.
