It's one of the first things you see as you fly into YK....it would be like Paris losing the Eiffel Tour or NYC losing the Statue of Liberty....that's just a part of YK that should remain!

As a former Yellowknifer of 22 years and Chair of the City's Heritage Committee, I ask that council preserve this wonderful landmark and legacy of our mining history. It has been done in Cobalt, ON and Helena, Montana, Yellowknife can do it too!

It must be saved as a legacy to our mining heritage. If we can waste millions on questionable projects, this is a wise investment for the future of our City.

This is a piece of infrastructure unlike anything in the North. By virtue of it's characteristics and what it might cost to construct something similar in future, this deserves a more thorough consideration before trashing.
