Depends. Keep it and what will it be used for? If it is used, will it be cost effective? OR take it down, and reuse the land? Is that possible? As is stands what is going to cost the tax payer less money?

An iconic piece of Yellowknife's scenery. Preservation costs are nothing compared to what this tower generated for the city and what it has the potential to generate in the future.

why must we always destroy things that are not immediately used for something. Let it stand! Yellowkniife was founded on gold mining and this iis the last remnant of a lorious time in YK history.

Save the Robertson Headframe - For now it's very important main purpose is as a landmark for boaters, ski-doos, people on the land, if you listen to City Administration, they want us to hold up a picture of the headframe while we are on Great Slave Lake and say I think that is the way to Yellowknife. It is a part of Yellowknife's heritage and just as important as the Wild Cat. It is a landmark for the people of the north.

"Sometimes you don't know what you've got til its gone".... so think of the future and preserve the headframe now. Don't get bogged down in uses for it now. Just preserve it as is. It's a significant landmark that should stay on Yellowknife's skyline.

I agree the head frame should NOT be taken down. I leaved in Yellowknife for 17yrs and also worked for Con Mine as a hoistoperator. A tourist attraction is what it should be. YOU can't believe the view from on top of that headframe.
