What a waste, could have housed the homeless and or supported a not for profit factory that could have hired the homeless, and youth at risk.

Whenever I'm flying into Yellowknife and I see the head frame, I know I'm home:)

I have 2 almost completed business proposals that could be amalgamated to save the headframe and create lots of jobs for the at risk youth, homeless people and for people who can't find a job because of a criminal record in their past. I had a meeting with Michael Mcleod about it and emailed the YK city council as well as the GNWT MLA's about it.

By world standards, Yellowknife is a young city. But even the young have a history. We cannot know where we are going unless we understand our past. The headframe represents our past and helps us understand where we have been and ultimately, where we can go. Save the headframe.

The headframe identifies mining and the reason YK was established.....our history.

My home was and still is on the old con mine property, the robertson headframe has been with me my entire life as it has for many yellowknifers. Its a landmark, a sign of comfort because you know you are home when you see it high in the sky. I have been out canoing on great slave in stormy weather and the moment I saw the headframe I knew I was okay. It is historical and would be beneficial not only for sentimental reasons but because it is something tourist look forward to seeing as well. Save our history, save the roberston headframe

The single largest icon of our rich history in gold mining. Do not let it disappear, the spirit of the north, the people who worked so hard to build this beautiful city, is alive and well in this structure. Also, the headframe is a priceless landmark when it comes to winter survival, countless tales as well as personal experiences, of being out on the land in the cold of winter, with only surefire way to know your way home: the Robertson Headframe.

Please save the head frame. It's invaluable when we go boating. It is like the inukshuk home
