Has Theale not changed enough in 60 odd years just leave some of the old buildings that drew people to the village in the first place.

The Red Lion is part of the character of Theale. Don't destroy an iconic building, this is not progress.

Already lost the Lamb which was a historic pub. Theale is slowly being destroyed by growing too big to be a village!

Myself and my family have lived opposite for years, it is history, part of Theale and growing up please do not pull down for more houses!

Destroying the old infrastructure of a village/town or city damages not only the local environment but changes things irrevocably to the detrement of society in general

many happy memories here and don't want to see another place shut that does not need to which is still very much thriving in this community!

The high street has been developed so much, but there will be nowhere left for people to go and enjoy a community! Plus it sounds as ever clever developers getting around planning rules!

I fully endorse the comments already made. The village character blossomed when the by-pass and M4 were built. There is a risk that this will be lost as yet another historic building is under threat.

Save the Red Lion. Lets not see yet another pub turned into flats. This one has a lot of character and should be kept open.

Proposed 8 flat development is contrary to WBC Affordable Housing Policy CS6 Young people who have been born and grown up in Theale, have absolutely no chance of securing a home of their own at todays current market prices, this needs to be seriously looked at.

Save the Lion... Another pub leaving the village would be a travesty! They are a dying breed, and means we are losing our identity as a nation of pub goers.

Save the red lion would be good to see the pub reopened
