I have been coming to Wellesley Island for 23 years. Several years ago an enormous air B&B was built in the bay where I live. Summers have never been the same.

As an Architect and Preservationist from Kentucky who has for twenty years been visiting the Summerland Group of islands, and specifically Idlewild Island directly adjacent to the islands of Sport and Little Lehigh, I oppose any resort development of those islands as that will greatly diminish the quiet, private, and secluded nature of that island group. A resort designation is inappropriate for those islands as historically they have been single family occupancy with limited dockage and access. The islands in the Summerland Group were never intended for such intense zoning and occupancy. As a tourist, guest, and visitor to the area, I respectfully request the Planning Board oppose a resort designation and preserve the residential use and quiet occupancy of these islands. Thank you for your consideration. Scott Kremer, AIA 1231 S. Shelby Street Louisville, KY 40203 (502) 499-1100 x 2503

Travel in the Bay is already turbulent from the boat traffic. It will be much worse with 30 boat slips. Please consider the property damage caused by added wake and safety concerns for those in small crafts.

This is not fair to residents that have made significant investments in residential property based in large part on the area zoning. Approval of the resort zoning will open the County and Alex Bay up to litigation.

This would be a mistake for the developers as it is a huge overreach, and would have a terrible impact on the now quiet residential homes around it. Please decline this proposal .

To zone the island as a resort would have detrimental impacts to the community snd the ecosystem, please prevent this

A commercial resort on Sport would bringing unacceptable noise, pollution, nighttime light, and hazardous boating conditions, and it would radically alter the serene character and beauty of these islands.

I fiercely oppose the development of Sport Island. Everyone that cares about conservation and protection of the River does, too.

This is a violation of the covenants in the deeds against using the property for commercial purposes and is changing the the area into a short term hotel

Please do not approve. A resort would negatively impact the natural health and quiet Island atmosphere. A resort would drive away fish and wildlife and those who visited would have no vested interest in protecting the pristine waters of the Summerland Group.

It would be a shame to allow large scale commercial/touristic development in this area. The character of the area will be forever changed (and not in a good way). I have visited the area ( i e., Idlewild and neighbour islands) many times and have enjoyed the natural beauty and serenity. All of this will be irreparably damaged by the proposed development. Please preserve this piece of heaven !
