This building is a landmark for Portlanders, and a relic of a history too soon forgotten. I would also pay $100 to go to the party celebrating its restoration!

The area needs to be cleaned up anyway, why not save the building and turn it in to something useful! I love passing by it every day on the way to work.

What a dream to see this landscape and waterscape restored to nature and used by the community. I bet you could find a dozen filmmakers to use the building as a set!

The Portland Oregon Gas and Coke Building deserves to be saved. So many historic buildings have been demolished in the last 10 years to make way for condos and parking lots. SE Division is a perfect example of the loss of old homes and buildings to modernize the corridor. Portland is starting to look like every other city out there. This building is one of the most unique in both architecture and history. It is my hope that the McMenamin brothers would consider purchasing it for a venue. People would flock to it!!
Save this wonderful building!
