This building is as distinguished a landmark as any. A rare architectural beauty in the midst of an otherwise aesthetically challenged immediate area. It would be a shame on our city to destroy this beautiful building. We must save it.

It's one of the land marks, we as kids in the 1950's-60's, looked for when we would take a trip into town, along with two other landmarks that have since been torn down. I would like to see this one stay.

I've always loved looking at this gorgeous historic building and always imagined what it and the whole river front area could be. Ideas: Redevelop the river front, Microbrewery with estate hotel grounds, park and running trails, wedding grounds, entertainment hall, filming location? I'd pay for parking permits and tours, just like Sauvie Island or Pittock Mansion. It's going to have to be cleaned anyway.

I have been in love with this building for over 20 years, wishing I had the resources to fix it up. Thanks for taking up the cause. Would be a real shame to see it go down! Wouldn't it be amazing to see it in all its glory again someday?!

Please restore this beautiful building. With all the money the government has provided NW Natural to clean the property up we should be able to save the building!
