This building is one of the only things to admire if rom this part of the highway. Most definitely an iconic piece of history that must remain standing and intact.

My grandma ever since I was a little girl would tell me of this building and how it was always a part of her life. I know how sad she would be to see it go.

Tearing down this extraordinary landmark still wont clean up the surrounding polluted land it sits apon. I believe it is PGE that owns this property. They are a very profitable company and it is time to show the city of the Portland that they are good shepards of its land, and put their best foot forward by revamping this area., starting with saving this historic structure. It's an area that sits under portland's most beautiful bridge with great potential for growth.

I always love seeing this building and wondered why it was not being rehabed. This building should be a landmark.

have loved the sight of this building ever since I first saw it upon moving to Portland inthe mid '90's. Always fantacised about fixing it up and creating an artists colony there.

Have watched it for years hoping someone - developer? McMenamin's ? would rescue it. Is there anything left to salvage is the question now.
