Every time I drive past this building I marvel at its beauty. Clean up and save! It's too easy to tear down historic buildings and then they are gone forever.

We deal with lead and asbestos all the time in Portland buildings...in fact in most of them. We need to clean it up anyway so let's save a treasure and do the job right.

I have been going by this site for over 40 it's years and have been around longer than it has been empty. I understand that the cost is high, to decontaminate, but someone needs to do this for the safety of our city, the river and the world. I hope that the building can be saved and even help pay back some of the cost of it's clean up! Make sure that you vote for funding and retention of the EPA too! Our congress is trying to un-fund it!!! Use our power of the voters booth to help too.

Save this building. It's beautiful. I have for years wondered why nothing has been done with it.

Not sure if it's true but I've heard this is the most photographed building in Portland. That speaks volumes.

I've for years thought McMennamins should do something with this building.

Very cool building. Maybe the McMenimen Brothers could rescue it with some help!

The way in which we preserve our old and special buildings is honoring the past. I should hope that NW Natural will not abandon this icon and that the public will support the love of their history through saving this beautiful century old building.
