The reason Portland is heaven, apart from its practical and interesting citizens, is because they rarely have built without an aesthetic (west of SE 82nd to the West Hills). Preserve more Portland!!

I find it so sad that the US has a hard time preserving their history. I think that is why going any where over seas seems so romantic and amazing. We tear everything down and rebuild; personally I think the US can be so architecturally bland because of this.

I was born and raised in Portland. I love history and grew up with the Rose a Festival Treasure Hunt that taught history as a family event. That love of history is what led my family and I to create the Nevada Day Treasure Hunt to help preserve history here as well. Good luck!
