NW Natural cites a "duty to [their] customers and shareholders" as a primary reason for tearing it down, but I suspect that an awful lot of these signatures are from their customers, like me.

This building is an amazing Thomas Edison concrete building. It's so beautiful. There are very few left. Please don't demolish it. We can never get it back once it's gone.

This beautifully forlorn building has been the source of so many happy memories, childhood mystery, and enchantment for years. Please keep this site standing. Though its use may strictly sentimental, the emotional connection so many Portlanders have with it is enough to have kept it alive and meaningful all this time.
Love this beauty - let preserve her!
