As a parent, St. Mary’s Academy have been known to put on exceptional plays every year. It would be such a shame to only have one every other year. Please keep do not remove this great experience from the students who looks forward to it every year. If it is a case of money to keep the program, I am sure the parents along with the students can find ways to assist with this shortcoming. Thank you and we hope you will reconsider.

I have been involved in the play some way or another each year. I’d be so sad if future students didn’t get the same opportunity to express their creative abilities in such an academic stressful environment.

The SMA plays are Incredible. It is amazing to see the students come together and have an environment to work with each other and have fun! I have been to one for the past five years and they can not be stopped

In my opinion the school musical production show happen annually. Last year I was able to go to the sound of music production and in my opinion the show was phenomenal. I can only imagine the work and dedication from the students and teachers that had to be put in to put on such an incredible show. My understanding is that this is a traditional production and I do believe that it should be kept annual. I was surprised that this show was only played three times. There was so much work put into this show, I feel like it should have been preformed more than three times.

The SMA's plays are the foundations of the school's culture. These plays need to be reinstated for they fully immerse students in drama, allowing them to truly feel what it's like to be in a serious production. Students who wish to pursue the dramatic arts further may do so with the SMA plays. Reducing the amount of plays, strips those of the opportunities to become full fledged actresses, giving them only few opportunities to perform. It is truly disappointing that so many people will be unable to achieve their dreams.
