I am saddened by this situation!! I remember attending those friday night seminars at the horse center as a kid and later attending CPP. My major was in animal science. The program gave me a basis to do my job which is working in a vet lab. More and more people dont want to deal with or think about agriculture but how can they not?? The horses are part of our history and if we didn't have anyone to plant the crops or raise the animals then how would we eat?? The Arabian horses are part of the history of Cal Poly. I suppose its all about the money and the beast l

Just found out that my school is removing the horse pastures, but are keeping the horses, we have to put in more dorms. That is so sad in my opinion. Please help my school keep the pastures by signing this petition. It will only take less than a minute of your time.

Graduating from Cal Poly Pomona in 2011. One of the main reasons I chose Cal Poly Pomona is because of the learn by doing philosophy. I fell in love with the campus and have grown an attachment to it, ever since I became an Orientation Leader. I remember telling my students stories of days I would just walk along the path to see the beautiful Arabian horses. Before I left this campus, the last thing I did was again, walk the path to see the horses. As an orientation leader, we are taught W.K. Kellogg bought this land under the agreement we would continue to breed horses. I don't know where this philosophy and agreement went overlooked. I surely hope this petition helps and remember why cal poly pomona exists.
