Graduating from Cal Poly Pomona in 2011. One of the main reasons I chose Cal Poly Pomona is because of the learn by doing philosophy. I fell in love with the campus and have grown an attachment to it, ever since I became an Orientation Leader. I remember telling my students stories of days I would just walk along the path to see the beautiful Arabian horses. Before I left this campus, the last thing I did was again, walk the path to see the horses. As an orientation leader, we are taught W.K. Kellogg bought this land under the agreement we would continue to breed horses. I don't know where this philosophy and agreement went overlooked. I surely hope this petition helps and remember why cal poly pomona exists.

I'm at cal poly pomona because of its principles, and doing this would dishonor my choice.

Where are the 20 alternated sites and why wont you mention them publicly? This has been in the works since 2013 but I am just now hearing about this, so where's the transparency?! Our horses need this land!

As a Mechanical Engineering alumni, I used to take meditative walks along the pastures to help clear my head, especially during finals. Driving by and seeing the horses in the wide open fields every single day gave me a great feeling and appreciation of the beauty of the campus. To molest this long standing tradition of Cal Poly Pomona would be a great shame that would only lead me to believe that the "board of trustees" is more interested in cost savings than the quality of academic life.

As a CPP College of Agriculture alumni, I know first-hand how valuable and necessary the pastures and agricultural land is. Please don't deny current and future students access to the valuable and memorable benefits of using this land.

Stop expanding the school when it already can't handle the students that are there!!! Hire better and more professors and stop building new buildings for the sake of spending money!! That area is meant for the horses to roam and play, plus it's a get away for anyone wanting to get out of the school and enjoy some wild life.

Save the land, it's been there since day one and is such a great sight. Cal Poly is known for their pastures and agriculture that losing it would be so wrong!

This is my favorite part of campus and it is the same for many other students here at CPP. Also when Kellogg donated his land to the University, part of the deal was to continue to run the Arabian horse program. Where would the horses stay if we took this land away? We would be going against Kellogg's wishes.

We're an engineering school, they can figure out somewhere else to build.
