Class of 2016, Plant Science and Agronomy Major/Minor. The ongoing destruction of agricutural land for urban use is shown in this situation once again. Why are we so eager to destroy more of the campus? 20 years ago this campus looked completely different. Many of my professors lament over the fact that when they attended school here, we had so much more of the land to work with, to learn on. Now, much of it is gone. What next after this? Will more land be taken away from us? Why is the school so eager to get rid of the commuter school status when they should be focusing on other things. Why do we focus on making more housing when we should focus on giving more professors to certain majors where students can't even get classes when they're seniors (computer science). Why can't we fix buildings sorely need of assistance or repairs. Why build more instead of fixing other urgent problems. Why take away what is aready being used.

May we remind the University that it is Land Grant from the Kellogg family. If there are less pastures for the school farm where does this leave the land grant? The University only exists because of the farm.
