Kellogg endowed this college with strict, sincere bequest to continue his beloved Arabian horses in perpetuity. While housing is a significant consideration for student education, nothing is as important as honoring WK Kellog's gift to Pomona, the CSUsystemanf California. Keep the pastures and orchards for the Arabian heritage!

I grew up in Walnut, spending countless hours with my Dad exploring both MSAC and Cal Poly, enjoying the horses, cattle etc. My kids also got to visit Cal Poly with my Dad, loving the ag culture of the campus.

Second generation cal poly grad. My mom studied equine science at Pomona. My husband and I met and SLO. We have a trust set up which benefits cal poly on our death. You cannot undo this loss of land. Lease keep it as long as it can be used. There is always time to build later. This land belongs to the students who pay tuition. I hope our children continue the cal poly tradition. How can they learn with no place left to do?

I hope this petition helps and stops this unfortunate remaoval of the pasture lands at Cal Poly. I grew up in Walnut, above Mt Sac in the early 70's through the 80's and loved our rural area. Please preserve some of that beautiful land.

With the availability of other land... student housing and classroom growth can be situated just off campus. The horses and the pasture lands add to the beauty of the campus setting. Recent growth in parking structures have distracting from the once serene and beautiful campus enough. Cal Poly is known for the Aribian Horses and should make them a center point for all to enjoy on campus. I graduated from Cal Poly, my father, my uncle all proud Cal Poly Alumni....keep Cal Poly green!!

I grew up in Walnut, enjoyed the beauty of the campus and surrounding area. My husband and I are both graduates of Cal Poly and our daughter is graduating from Cal Poly this month!!
