I've been taking my daughter to the farmers market since it started up, and it means a lot to my family to have had a place to feel like part of the community during the pandemic. It's important to me that it doesn't stop.

My 3 year old would be crushed if he couldn’t go to the farmer’s market on a regular basis, and we would all miss the amazing fruits and vegetables.

SI should be more involved with the market, its a great opportunity for students to volunteer at and also host an outdoor learning project for the kids in the local community at their awesome outdoor space between Pacheco and Quintara!

My wife and I have shopped at this delightful and wonderful farmer's market. We certainly feel it should be able to continue to service our community.

The farmers market is so important for our community, one of the reasons why I love living in Outer Sunset. Going to the Farmers Market, talking to the vendors make you feel connected. I can’t believe that St. Ignatius doesn’t see this value.

The farmers market is a major benefit to the community and as a resident I’d like it to remain in place.

Sunset mercantile has been our neighborhood community building event and as a vendor, a place to connect with the community.

Please keep the market open. Shutting down a market that benefits the community for the benefit of a single private actor is absurd.

SI has been a bully in the neighborhood since it was built (I was there). The mercantile really serves the community, allowing meetings and greetings for all ages and ethnicities. I think that any compromise should allow Every Sunday and be at least a full block.

It is with a bit of dismay that I sign this petition advocating for the uninterrupted and scheduled Farmers Market in the Sunset District. I am signing as a local San Franciscan and new vendor at the Market, but more importantly as a small Latina woman-owned business in the City! I encourage all who support small local businesses, farmers and Sunset Mercantile to sign this petition to speak up for the market to continue without further delay or interruption. Thank you!
Please keep the market alive!
